He was remembering back to a simpler time, from his childhood, from before. He was unworried, free to go about his business, that serious business that children do.<\/p>\n
Then it started to appear. It wasn’t obvious at first, but then as it grew in, it was very clear what was happening.<\/p>\n
He was growing a purple moustache.<\/p>\n
He was embarassed for many years, always carrying a shaver, lest anyone notice. He tried dyeing it, bleaching it, to no avail.<\/p>\n
Then one day, in a weaker moment, he showed it to his partner.<\/p>\n
His partner said ‘Your moustache is mauve’!<\/p>\n
‘Mauve? I always thought it was purple!’<\/p>\n
‘No, it’s totally mauve.’<\/p>\n
‘Wait. I’m getting an idea…’ ‘Mauve…What goes with mauve?’<\/p>\n
‘Mauvey Povich?’<\/p>\n
‘Nah. Everyone knows his favourite colour would be “Burnt-Umber”.’<\/p>\n
‘Like the “Burnt-Umber<\/a> Hulk<\/a>“?’<\/p>\n ‘Exactly!’<\/p>\n ‘Wait…I think I’ve got it.’<\/p>\n ‘What is it? Tell me!’<\/p>\n ‘Quick, what month is it?’<\/p>\n ‘November? Mauvember? Movember<\/a>! And I can say it’s when people grow moustaches and talk about uncomfortable and embarrassing but very important things!’<\/p>\n ‘Like prostate cancer!’<\/p>\n ‘Yes, that is important.’<\/p>\n ‘And regulatory capture!’<\/p>\n ‘Yes, that too.’<\/p>\n ‘Early screening is important to reduce the risk of Regulatory Capture<\/a>.’<\/p>\n ‘Wow.
