In different circumstances, Fortune could Favour many different things.<\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<p>If you are a newspaper:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Favours Above the Fold<\/p>\n<p>If you are researching a new type of cheese:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Favours the Mould<\/p>\n<p>If you are a manufacturer of desserts containing cryptic messages:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Favours the Mould[2]<\/p>\n<p>If you are hoping your ice sculpture will last:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Favours the Cold<\/p>\n<p>For those colonizing a new world and hoping for horses:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Favours the Foaled<\/p>\n<p>For those hoping to move houses:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Favours the Sold<\/p>\n<p>For those hoping to not fall off their gondola:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Favours the Poled<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battle_of_Trafalgar\" target=\"_blank\">Nelson<\/a>[3] is thought[4] to have said:<br \/>\n &#8211; &#8216;Fortune Favours the Coaled.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Other associated sayings:<\/p>\n<p>For those who enjoy canned pineapple:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Flavours the Doled<\/p>\n<p>For those who evade blame:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Waivers the Scold<\/p>\n<p>For those overheated who luckily find shelter:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Savours the Cold<\/p>\n<p>For those working with Filo[5] pastry:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fortune Flavours the Rolled<\/p>\n<p>And finally, for those of a musical persuasion:<br \/>\n &#8211; Fourtune Favours the Multiphonic (my favourite)<\/p>\n<p>[1]And <a href=\"http:\/\/memory-alpha.wikia.com\/wiki\/Favor_the_Bold_%28episode%29\" target=\"_blank\">a DS9 episode<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>[2]From S!<\/p>\n<p>[3]Somehow, Horatio Nelson does not appear in the first ten(!) pages when you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=nelson\" target=\"_blank\">search for &#8216;nelson&#8217;<\/a>.  Even Nelson Mandela doesn&#8217;t appear until page 7!
